Asheville Makers meeting November 19

Greetings Makers, we will be meeting on November 19th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Asheville Brewing, 77 Coxe Avenue, just south of downtown Asheville. We will be touring the Asheville Brewing facility where they will be talking to us about the brewing process from the very beginning of grinding the grain, mashing and fermenting all the way until it’s in a can that you can take anywhere.

Also, don’t forget to bring your projects whether finished or in progress to show and tell for everyone to see.

Asheville Makers meeting October 10

Greetings Makers, we will be meeting on October 10th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Trash, Inc., 711 B Biltmore Avenue, just north of Biltmore Village.

We will be touring the Trash, Inc. facility where they will be talking to us about making with reused materials. They have an amazing collection of ever changing materials, so bring your ideas. You just may find the perfect piece of material for that project you wanted to start.

Asheville Makers meeting July 23

Greetings Makers, we will be meeting on July 23rd from 6 pm to 8 pm at NC Stage Company, 15 Stage Lane in Downtown Asheville.

We will be touring the NC Stage Company where they will be talking to us about how they make the sets and costumes for the shows they perform. Ever been interested to see what goes on behind the curtain? Here’s your chance to see first hand!

Stage Lane is an alley across from Zambras off of W Walnut Street. There is a parking deck on W Walnut Street, right next to NC Stage for the easiest parking or if you have problems finding on street parking elsewhere in downtown.

Asheville Makers meeting June 11

Greetings Makers, we will be meeting again on June 11th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Organic Armor, 191 Lyman Street in the River Arts District.

We will take a tour of the Organic Armor studio where Paul Hersey and Jennifer Murphy create costume pieces for Belly dancers, Steam Punks, Faries, Burlesque and more.

Asheville Makers meeting April 25

Greetings Makers, we will be meeting again on April 25th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Blue Ridge Food Ventures, 1461 Sand Hill Road at the A-B Tech, Enka Campus.

We will take a tour of Blue Ridge Food Ventures, an 11,000 sq. ft. shared-use kitchen incubator and natural products manufacturing facility that offers support in product development, guidance through the maze of regulations governing safe production of food products and dietary supplements, advice on packaging and label design, and more. Blue Ridge Food Ventures helps people achieve their dreams of getting their artisan food products to market, of running a baking or catering business, making natural products and herbal dietary supplements, and get them into bottles and tubes and onto store shelves.
